Artists > Pam Spicer

Surrounded by family members who placed a high value on artistic expression, including a great aunt who advocated color-composed meals, Pam Spicer was bound to pursue a career in the visual arts. After receiving her BFA in graphic design from Alma college in her native Michigan, Spicer moved to Chicago to begin her career in design as Art Director for Frankel & Company in Chicago and later worked as Creative Director for Simon Marketing in Oakbrook, IL. Adding to her professional mix, she also taught design at the School of Art Institute of Chicago.
Pam uses oil paint to translate shadow, light and vivid color found in nature into landscapes and still life’s layered with subtlety and depth.
