Artists > Charles Gorman
Charles Gorman, a self taught wood-turner, is constantly on the look out for exotic woods to bring home to his studio, seal it’s ends with wax, and patiently wait until it’s dried enough to turn. Born and raised in Michigan, he now resides near Ft. Myers in Florida where he thoroughly enjoys the craft of turning wood. Much of the wood he’s had the privilege of converting into functional bowls came from the Edison Winter Estate in Ft. Myers, Florida, where, unfortunately, a hurricane destroyed most of the Estate’s collection of exotic trees. Chuck turns exquisitely finished bowls, pepper mills, and high-quality ink pens.
